News 101 and Information's background

News 101 and Information is a school-based and at the same time a local based news organization of A-101 (Broadcasting), Lyceum of the Philippines University. It was started to operate July 3, 2009.

History

A joint Special Coverage of The Voice, our High School Newspaper and News 101 (CHTV) happened during the Nationwide Earthquake Drill at Caloocan High School, which we we're broadcast to NBN-4 (People's Television Network), UNTV-37, IBC-13 and RPN-9

Etymology

Here are the names of the station since it was started:

• CHTV (Caloocan High School) - July 2009 to October 2009
• 1D News (III-1D Network, based on our section in High School) - October 2009 to February 2010
• JCD News (Julius C. Disamburun TV - 48) - February 2010 to May 2010
• The Voice News and Information (Merge with The Voice Newspaper) - May 2010 to December 2010
• The Voice News - December 2010 to June 2011
• A-101 News (College) - June 2011 to August 2011
• News 101 and Information - August 2011 to the Present

• A morning show airs weekdays from 5:00 - 8:00 in the morning, Hosted by: Julius Disamburun, Arrian Ignacio, Tony Nga, Julie Tinio, Hillary Pe, Dena Arboladura, Pao Gilera, Pau Cordoviz, Carlystyn Villaflor, Croley Moraña and Aileen Paredes.

• News 101 Quick Response Team (QRT)
• Live from different location where the latest news is happening (based on GMA News TV's Quick Response Team), airs weekdays from 4:00-4:30 in the afternoon, Hosted by: Julius Disamburun.

• Detalyado

• The flagship newscast of News 101, started to broadcast since 2009, original hosts: Julius Disamburun, Jerold Fabia and Jamil Quilalan. Due to changing of stations name, Detalyado anchors also changed. As Julius Disamburun remained to Broadcast, diffent co-anchors started to host Detalyado:
• Nella Malazarte - June 2011 to October 2011
• Richelle Croley Moraña - October 2011 to Present
